On December 30, 2008 George finally turned himself in to the Federal Prison Estill located in South Carolina. Even though he had originally told the judge in Ky that he would report to the Florida Federal Prison above Tampa. Also I have to find out why he did not turn himself in on November 30, 2008 like the judge in Ky demanded. His release date from Federal Prison is set for September 25, 2010.

George Dumstorf did not report to prison on November 30th, 2008 because he was still facing other trials in Florida and the Feds did not want to pay to transport him to his court appearances. The Florida trials appear to be complete (at least the portion where he must be present), so George is now incarcerated.
Estill is an interesting choice. I believe that George did not have a choice of prison locations. The Federal Bureau of Prisons can place criminals anywhere in the system. Space is a consideration and, at least in theory, so is proximity to family.
Looks like Dumstorf family and friends, assuming any of them want to visit this admitted con artist, liar and bigamist, will have a bit of a drive.
